Robotson and I are watching the Cosmos series on Hulu.  It first came out when I was just three and if I saw any of it with my dad, I don't remember now.  I'm really excited to be able to see it for the first time and with my own son.  In the first episode, Robotson was intrigued by pulsars.  In the second, he loved the animated evolution, especially when it ran in just 40 seconds.  Last night, after learning about Johannes Kepler, he asked me if there were any books about his life that we could read together.  He's talking non-stop about being a scientist, sending his own robots into space, and what he might discover someday.  I'm seriously considering buying the series through Amazon regardless of the hefty price tag.  This much excitement and wonder are too good to let go of if Hulu takes the show down, or we lose access to the Internet.  If you haven't checked it out yet, you really must do so!

  1. I loved that show when I was a kid. I got the hardback book for Xmas that year. My dad took me out to dinner with a a guy he knew who was one of the producers! Can't wait to watch it again. How old is Robertson? My daughter is just turning 6 and I don't know if she'll like it or not...

  2. He is 8. She might have a difficult time understanding everything Carl talks about. My son doesn't, but he asks a lot of questions. It takes us about 2 hours to get through each 1 hour episode.
