"Good manners will open doors that the best educations cannot."
Since Dimples is two years old today, I thought I'd look up some birthday etiquette. There is actually quite a lot!
We don't have parties for our children when they are this young. We have a family get together, usually around a meal instead. If you are having a birthday party with invited children, there is a general rule of thumb according to Emily Post.
Invite no more children than you and your child can manage. The recommended number is one guest for each year of a child's age plus one. (A three-year-old could invite four young guests.)
As it turns out, with my two other children and nephew, we had the right number of kids at our family brunch. I remember remarking that I was glad we didn't have more!
