Before kids, there was hockey

In case you've been wondering what's been going on with us, the Edmonton Oilers were in town on Sunday.

So what's hockey got to do with parenting? Well for us....everything.

B and I "met" in an IRC hockey chat room (yes, really). We went to Atlanta Knights games together before they moved to Quebec. We had season tickets for the Thrashers first two seasons, until I had Robotson. We did the same when the Gwinnett Gladiators came to town, until I got pregnant with Funny Girl. We used to spend every night watching Center Ice until the price was too high, and we had another baby to take up our time. You might say parenting has replaced hockey, but it's still dear to our hearts. The Oilers are the only team we make a point to see every year; our yearly date. Usually we make the trip up to Nashville for a game, but this year they came to Atlanta.

For me, it's always been about the photography. I love the game, but if I'm there, I have to shoot it. I've got tens of thousands of photos from hockey games going back 15 years. Yesterday, I had 1001 photos to sort through from the game. What can I say? I love it! Here are a few of my favorites:
